Nuclear Power Plant
Power: Stack gas Oxygen analyzers and CEMS systems are used in the fossil plants along with conveyor belt scales for the flow of coal through the plant. Boiler trim provides reliable level gauging on high pressure steam drums. Flow meters measure the return condensate. Measurement of pH, conductivity, and Dissolved Oxygen in the PPT levels are all critical in the Water Panels to insure tight specs on the boiler system. Coal Silos are monitored for the weight of stored coal with our strain gauge systems.
Damper Actuators provide tight control on primary & secondary air flow. Control Valves provide operational control on steam & other critical process lines. Nuclear plants also utilize magnetic sight gauges for condensate level, high purity water analyzers, PID controllers and alarm annunciators.
Pulp & Paper: Conductivity & pH control, mill water flow meters, level gauging for black & green liquors & other chemicals, conveyor belt scales on the wood chips, and smart valve & damper actuators help improve plant performance upstream on the wet end. Moisture monitors check the paper for the desired results down on the dry end. Filtration Systems are used on the Lube Oils, Hydraulic Oils, and other critical fluids.
Combustion analyzers on the Boilers & Lime Kilns, H2S & ClO2 gas detection systems, strainer & bag filter systems, and monitoring lube oil for moisture are other typical products we provide into our local paper mills.
Steel Plants:We have found that our Steel Plants are particularly fond of our Mass Flow Vortex Meters for all types of fluids including Argon, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Air, & Water.
Filtration is needed for the huge amounts of cooling water used. There are also needs for monitoring temperature & pressure, high temperature oxygen analyzers, pH and conductivity systems, and numerous points for level gauging.
We also now have the means of non-contact measurement of the Mold Level in continuous castors with our low level Nuclear Source.
Mini Mill Steel Plant
Chemical:Level Gauging of chemical products & intermediates, with special expertise in "Interface" measurements such as organics; Also provided are steam and natural gas flow meters and control valves, temperature transmitters, oxygen analyzers, pH & conductivity monitoring, and filtration systems. Pressure transmitters & high precision pressure regulators are also utilized.
Some plants use our "Perimeter Monitoring" package for gas detection with Telemetry to be sure unwanted gases do not leave the plant and annoy neighbors. Multiple monitors radio information back to a central Base Station with Data Storage.
Refining:Measurement of stack gas oxygen on Cat Cracker Unit and various Boilers & Process Heaters; Other analyzers include H2S & BTU Analyzers (Gas Chromatographs), and CEMS Systems including Opacity.
Control loops monitor pH and wastewater flow. Pressure Transmitters utilize our pre-insulated tubing bundles for sample lines and for freeze protection. Lube Oil Filtration Systems protect critical applications.
Also provided are Level Gauges for process tanks (caustic & hydrofluoric acid) and on Inventory Storage tank farms for gasoline, diesel, LPG, etc. We are now utilizing wireless radio technology to transmit tank levels back to the control room.

Water/Wastewater: Measurement Systems for Dissolved Oxygen in aeration basins at a municipality for air control; Also provided are pH, Turbidity, Residual Chlorine and Ozone monitoring, Monochloramine measurements, gas detection systems (Cl, ClO2, SO2), thermal gas mass flow meters for aeration, and several styles of liquid flow meters are provided such as Magnetic flow tube, Transit-time Ultrasonic, and Venturi flow tubes.
Temperature monitoring on the Digesters is also a critical measurement that we have done using Remote I/O brought into the plant's PLC via Modbus.
Sludge Blanket Sonar Monitors measure the Primary & Secondary Clarifiers for the Floc or RAS Levels of sludge. Ultrasonic Level Gauges measure clearwells & Filter Basin water levels.
Food & Beverage: Ultrasonic Level Gauging on flour silos at a bakery. Also available are strain gauge systems for retrofit that will weigh the product.
Flow meters are provided for the liquid yeast along with temperature monitoring systems. Many of our products are available in sanitary styles with 3A approvals to measure flow, level, temperature, etc. Sanitary sensors for pH, conductivity, ozone, etc are offered for liquid analysis.
Wireless Level Gauging
Some new jobs demand a fresh way of looking at things... like this water tank which required remote pump control with no power or wiring at the tank. Solar Panels/Batteries keep the system working 24 hrs/day providing a radio signal for tank level to a remote Monitor about 1/2 mile away, which then alternates using the two pumps to refill the tank when needed.
Other sytems utilize multiple RTU units to talk back to a Base Controller. Communication is bidirectional allowing remote control of pumps, valves, etc. Licensed Radio can easily work over 20-25+ miles using repeaters if needed, such as on a gas or liquid pipeline.
Bulk Solids/Aggregate: Belt Scales on conveyors provide accurate flow control and Tramp Metal Detectors protect downstream systems; Weighfeeders, Moisture Monitors & Loss-In-Weight Systems for ingredients are also available.
Ultrasonic Level Sensors as shown provide consistent crusher control and monitoring of final product inventory.
